Larry Sparks Exhibit and Concert this Saturday at ACMA Museum in Bristol

Larry SparksBristol, TN/VA -- Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers will be in Bristol, Virginia this Saturday, October 15th for Larry Sparks Day at the Appalachian Cultural Music Association (ACMA)'s Mountain Music Museum and Pickin Porch at the Bristol Mall. "We are very proud to be unveiling the Larry Sparks Exhibit at the Mountain Music Museum this Saturday" states John Necessary the Appalachian Cultural Music Association's president. "Larry is a legend in bluegrass music and is most deserving of this exhibit in our museum".

The Larry Sparks Exhibit will be unveiled at 4:00 pm at the Mountain Music Museum on the upper level of the Bristol Mall and admission is free to the public. The ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band will provide music starting at 3:30 pm. After the exhibit unveiling Larry Sparks will answer questions and entertain interviews as well as perform a song with the ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band.

At 7:00 pm Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers will be in Concert at the ACMA Pickin Porch which is located two doors up from the Mountain Music Museum. Tickets for the concert are only $15 and are available at the museum and at the door. The ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band will open the show for Larry Sparks.

Proceeds from this concert will benefit the ACMA which is a non-profit 501c3 organization. "We hope people in our region will come and support the Larry Sparks concert and exhibit unveiling, this will be a special day in Bristol!" states Necessary.

3:30 pm- Music by the E.T.S.U. Bluegrass Pride Band
4:00 pm- Unveiling of the “Larry Sparks Exhibit”
  - Welcome by Tim White
  - John Necessary –president of the ACMA speaks
  - Dan Boner-director of the ETSU Bluegrass and Old Time Music program speaks.
  - Larry Sparks- speaks about his career and artifacts to be unveiled.
  - Larry fields questions from the press and audience.
4:30 pm- Larry performs one song with ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band.
4:35 pm- ETSU Bluegrass Pride Band performs 3 more numbers to close out event.

Audience is invited to tour the Mountain Music Museum and dine at the Bristol Mall Food Court and shop at the Bristol Mall until the Larry Sparks Concert starts at the Pickin Porch at 7:00 pm.
