Williamson Branch Signs with Pinecastle for 2018 Album

Williamson BranchPinecastle Records is happy to announce the signing of bluegrass family band Williamson Branch for an album to come in 2018. Husband and wife Kevin and Debbie Williamson are Pinecastle alumni from the company’s earliest days. Since then, the pair have raised their own family band with their three girls: teenagers Melody and Kadence, and eight-year-old Caroline. The group features the tight harmony singing that many family bands are known for, along with fun personalities and clogging.

The Farm Hands Release “Colors” on Friday July 21st

The Farm Hands ColorsAward winning bluegrass quartet The Farm Hands are set to release Colors, their third Pinecastle Records album, on Friday, July 21st. The Farm Hands are one of the hardest working bands in bluegrass. Their tour schedule easily tops 100 dates each year. They are also one of the winningest bands at the annual SPBGMA conference where they are the reigning Entertainer's of the Year.

Kim Robins Debuts on Pinecastle with “Raining in Baltimore”

Raining in BaltimorePinecastle Records is excited to announce Kim Robins's label debut recording Raining in Baltimore. The album will be available this Friday July 21st, 2017. Robins shows off her songwriting on the album with three out of the twelve tracks to her credit including the title track. She will be a featured songwriter at the International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) World of Bluegrass this fall. Robins enlisted some big time help on Raining in Baltimore with Ron Stewart and Rickey Wasson co-producing and performing on the album. Other personnel on the album include Adam Steffey, Harold Nixon, Alicia Wasson, and Shannon Slaughter.

Bluegrass SuperPickers, Flashback, to Release Debut Album in April

Foxhounds and FiddlesFlashback, newly signed to Pinecastle Records, plans an April 21 release for their debut album, Foxhounds and Fiddles. Made up of a gathering of super pickers and entertainers in Bluegrass, Flashback members are Phil Leadbetter, Don Rigsby, Richard Bennett and Curt Chapman.

The Farm Hands Come up Big at SPBGMA

The Farm HandsThe Farm Hands and members of the band have won six awards at the 2017 SPBGMA conference in Nashville, TN this past weekend. At the 2016 SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards, The Farm Hands collectively took home four awards. This followed up an incredible 2015 when they received one of the SPBGMA's highest honors, "Entertainer of the Year." They are one of the busiest touring bands in bluegrass, performing over 150 dates per year. For anyone who has seen them in concert, none of this comes as a surprise. The group features four award winning singers, musicians and songwriters: Tim Graves, Daryl Mosley, Keith Tew, and Don Hill.

New Single as Kim Robins Signs with Pinecastle

Kim Robins couldn't be more proud than to have joined forces with Pinecastle, or excited about her first release with her new album.

Ray Cardwell Signs with Pinecastle Records for Upcoming Release

Rayt CardwellSongwriter, vocalist, and bass player, Ray Cardwell has joined Pinecastle Records to release his solo album, Tennessee Moon, in fall 2016. The album has a clear New Grass influence in producer Pat Flynn. However, with nine out of twelve tunes written by Cardwell, the album is his own take on that classic sound. Flynn also adds his talents on guitar and harmony vocals to the album along with fellow New Grass Revival alum John Cowan lending tenor and harmony vocals on many of the tracks (full personnel listing below). Cardwell has already built a touring band of incredible musicians to take his music on the road as Ray Cardwell & Tennessee Moon.

Edgar Loudermilk's Georgia Maple Available Now

Georgia MapleEdgar Loudermilk's debut album on Pinecastle Records, Georgia Maple, is available now! The first single from the album, "My Kentucky Home," has already been playing on radio across the country and has charted on Bluegrass Today's Weekly Airplay Chart several times reaching as high as the #2 spot. The album also reached #1 on AirPlay Direct's bluegrass radio chart.

First Bluegrass Clogging Album in Decades Available Now

Rags Reels Breakups and BreakdownsGreenville, SC -- Pinecastle Records is proud to announce a new release specifically produced for cloggers, square dancers and other American traditional dance, Rags Reels Breakups and Breakdowns. The album features nine 7 to 12 minute mashups hand picked from the label's large library of acclaimed instrumental tracks. Producer Chip Futrell, faculty adviser of the North Carolina State University Wolfpack Clogging Team, felt there was a need for fresh material in the clogging world since no new material had been produced in decades.

Sister Sadie Joins Pinecastle Records Artist Roster

Sister SadiePinecastle Records has signed bluegrass group Sister Sadie, and released the group’s first single, “Unholy Water,” from their upcoming self-titled album. The group will be at The Station Inn in Nashville for an album preview performance on May 13.

Edgar Loudermilk Signs with Pinecastle Records

Edgar LoudermilkPinecastle Records is pleased to announce that Edgar Loudermilk has signed with the label. An as yet to be titled album is already in the works and set for a release in 2016. Loudermilk will be performing upcoming dates touring as the Edgar Loudermilk Band featuring Jeff Autry. Some of the tunes in their live performance will showcase music from Pinecastle’s Bluegrass 90’s series as well as Autry’s solo Pinecastle release, Foothills.

Sister Sadie Signs with Pinecastle Records

The all female band is currently working on an album to be released in 2016 comprised of a mix of member-written originals and other songs to be determined. Sister Sadie is a straight ahead bluegrass band comprised of five good friends born out of what was originally supposed to be a one time jam at The Station Inn in Nashville, TN. Shortly after that sold out show, the band began getting calls for gigs and the girls decided to officially form Sister Sadie. They decided that each member would remain in their own bands and from time to time get together for special events to perform. The name, Sister Sadie, was inspired by a Tony Rice song, "Little Sadie," and the fact that the ladies feel as though they are sisters.

Phil Leadbetter's Cancer Battle Returns for Round 3

Phil LeadbetterBluegrass Music's favorite uncle, Dobro artist Uncle Phil Leadbetter has announced that after his most recent PET scan and biopsy that his cancer has returned once again. Twice before he has been deemed "Cancer Free" however, the persistent disease keeps returning. Each return also appears more stubborn the one before. He has been battling the disease on and off now for over four years.
